Where I am
Well, its time to have a little update on where I am in my painting and modelling.
Currently, the projects that are active.
Iyanden Eldar Army
This is my first project, made, at least in part, from eldar models I had lying around. I have no idea WHY I decided to paint a yellow army, since yellow is a total bitch to paint. Except that, I love the idea of undead space elves. Currently, I have completed a guardian squad, spiritseer, Vyper, Wraithlord, and the first squad of wraithguard. Pictures below, although, as usual, my camera is my phone, and the lighting and quality will suck.
Malifaux.
Amazing game. Even more amazing models. I have three starter sets painted and table ready, with plans for a few additions at some point. I LOVE these models. They really are amazing. No photos of these as they are beautiful, and the camera won't do them justice. As an aside, I want all of the artwork from the rulebook on my walls.
Warmachine
This is all getting repainted. That makes 3 heavys, 8 lights, 17 infantry to paint. I think it is going to be worth it though, to get all of the blues the same. Another good game, and one that I need to play more of.

Epic Terrain
Well, project Epic continues. As well as painting some of the huge pile of 6mm orks I have laying around, I moved on to making some terrain as well, with the ultimate intention of having something to play over as well. So without further ado, some pictures. (Apologies for the poor quality, taken with a camera phone images)
First is an Ork Encampment. Built mainly because I could. 2 small buildings, and the watchtower/crane thing can fit orky artillery pieces on them should they need to. Not sure about the static grass on this.
This started with me builidng a tower of variously sized slottabases and then cutting them in half. I wasn't suer how they were going to be painted until I actually did them. the choice was either power generator type things (which won, cause I wanted to try the whole blending thing again), and hangers/barracks. I think the right choice was made.
Finally, some of the bases of ruins that came with an e-bay lot that I won. Three different colour schemes, 4 pieces each. Not sure whether to leave these free standing as they are, or add some bases and make them into ruined buildings.
As ever, comments and criticism, suggestions encouraged. Particularly in the area of other pieces that I could build without investing too much time or effort.

Best laid plans
Well, the best laid plans of mice and men and all that. Last nights hobby goal was to get some more of my epic Orks painted, and finish my first Goff Big Mob. So obviously, the first thing that I did was start painting this.
An epic scale Basilisk I got from an E-bay auction. Its worth noting the miniature is tiny, and mostly done with simple washes and drybrushing. Its also been photographed with my phones camera, and so the shots may be (are) a little dodgy. The weathering at the bottom is a lot less noticeable in the flesh as it were, and will match the terrain that I have in mind (desert set). It also matches the bases of the orks, which I was supposed to have painted, but failed miserably to do.
And for some eye candy (I hope), the resurrectionist gang for Malifaux that I finished a while ago, and only got around to varnishing recently.

Battlefleet Gothic
Well, today I was digging through old models and I found my old (small) battlefleet gothic fleet. It was in a pretty poor condition, with many of the models damaged, and glue broken. (One of the Sword's has been riding around in the car below the handbrake for about 3 years!) Its a game that I got, painted, bought some models, but never played more than a few test games, so I have no idea if this is a viable fleet or not.

My First Post
Well, I have decided that having a blog may motivate me to get more of my painting backlog sorted out. My goal is to get projects actually finished, maybe get some more games played this year, and with any luck get some feedback to help me improve my painting.
